Advantage Multi for Dogs is a topical solution that provides comprehensive protection against numerous parasites in a single monthly treatment. The active ingredient imidacloprid targets and kills adult fleas, while also preventing flea eggs from hatching, thereby interrupting the flea life cycle and stopping infestations before they start. In addition, Advantage Multi contains moxidectin, which treats and controls intestinal parasites like hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm, and prevents heartworm disease. By protecting against such a wide variety of parasites, Advantage Multi helps keep dogs healthy and comfortable all year round.

Dogs and puppies must be 7 weeks old or more and at least 3 lbs.

How does Advantage Multi Topical for Dogs work?
Advantage Multi for Dogs is a topical product that you put on your dog, consisting of a yellow or colorless solution in an applicator tube. The dose should give at least 1.1mg per pound of body weight of an ingredient called moxidectin, and 4.5mg per pound of body weight of imidacloprid.

What are the side effects of Advantage Multi Topical for Dogs?
Topical use can cause a number of adverse reactions in dogs. These include vomiting, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), salivation, inappetance, lethargy, weakness, restlessness, agitation, disorientation, ataxia (lack of coordination), muscle tremors, seizures, panting, trouble breathing, acute pulmonary edema, hives, rash, swollen face and ears, itching (pruritus), erythema (redness of the skin), alopecia, hot spots, or local discomfort. Accidental oral ingestion can lead to salivation, vomiting, muscle tremors, seizures, mydriasis (pupil dilation), ataxia, lethargy, disorientation, agitation, or inappetence. In cats, potential adverse reactions associated with topical use may include application site reactions, vomiting, lethargy, agitation, or neurological signs.
What special precautions are there?
For 30 minutes after treatment, ensure that the dog cannot lick their own application site or that of any treated dog. Dogs should be separated from each other following treatment to prevent accidental ingestion.Accidental ingestion can cause severe side effects in dogs. This can include depression, salivation, pupil dilation, incoordination, panting, or generalized muscle tremors. Dogs with ivermectin sensitivity may experience more severe side effects, including coma or death.This product contains moxidectin and should not be used in cats.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.

Recommended Dosages: For dogs between 3 and 9 pounds, administer Advantage Multi 9 (0.4mL; 40mg imidacloprid and 10mg moxidectin) For dogs between 9.1 and 20 pounds, administer Advantage Multi 20 (1mL; 100mg imidacloprid and 25mg moxidectin) For dogs between 20.1 and 55 pounds, administer Advantage Multi 55 (2.5mL; 250mg imidacloprid and 62.5mg moxidectin) For dogs between 55.1 and 88 pounds, administer Advantage Multi 88 (4mL; 400mg imidacloprid and 100mg moxidectin) For dogs between 88.1 and 110 pounds, administer Advantage Multi 110 (5mL; 500mg imidacloprid and 125mg moxidectin) For dogs over 110 pounds, administer the appropriate number of tubes to dose the dog based on their exact body weight. Recommended minimum dosage is 4.5mg of imidacloprid per pound of body weight and 1.1mg of moxidectin per pound of body weight. Topically administer once monthly. Never use on irritated skin. To administer, remove an applicator tube from the package. Administer the full tube in the dosage described above.
