Antimicrobials such as cephalosporins, penicillins, and other antibiotics might induce allergic responses in certain animals. Prevent direct pharmaceutical contact with the mucous membranes or skin to reduce the risk of an adverse response.
What special precautions are there?
Positive direct Coombs' tests may occur when taking this medication. Do not administer to lactating, breeding, or pregnant dogs.

Temperatures should be kept between 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (room temperature). Heat and moisture should be avoided.
Ensure that you have access to fresh, clean drinking water at all times. Even if your pet looks to be in full recovery, you should continue to give until the therapy is finished.
