What are the side effects of DORMOSEDAN?
Nasal mucus discharge and edema of the head or face could occur because sedated horses tend to lower their heads repeatedly. To prevent this occurrence, keep the head held in a slightly elevated position. Incoordination or staggering may occur for 3 to 5 minutes following injection. This will last until the animal eventually regains their footing. About 45 minutes to 1 hour after treatment, urination is typical as the horse recovers (depending on the dosage). Hypertension is likely. Bradycardia can occur for about a minute after injection. After administration, piloerection, sweating, salivation, and minor muscle tremors are common. Partial short-term penile prolapse may occur. Partial AV and SA blocks may occur, along with decreased heart and respiratory rates.
