What are the side effects of Glipizide 5mg Tablet?
About 15% of cats experience hypoglycemia when taking this drug. Monitoring is important for this reason. Inappetence and nausea are also possible. However, giving the medication with food can prevent the symptoms. Inappetence can be a serious side effect for diabetic pets. If you notice your pet is not eating normally, consult your veterinarian immediately.
What special precautions are there?
Keep out of the reach of animals and children. Never give to a pregnant or nursing cat. Never give this or any other sulfa medicine to a cat who has a known sulfa allergy. Never give to a cat that has been injured, is sick, has an infection, has thyroid disease, renal disease, or liver disease. Never give to a cat who is refusing to eat or who is exhibiting symptoms of ketoacidosis, tiredness, sleepiness, vomiting, or severe anorexia. Never use in the event of a diabetic emergency, such as a diabetic coma. When giving this medicine to a cat with an untreated adrenal or pituitary gland condition, use caution.

How can I store Glipizide 5mg Tablet?
Keep product stored in a dry and cool environment.
For cats with diabetes who are taking Glipizide, a low-carb diet plan and/or insulin may also be required.
