What are the side effects of Heartgard Plus Chewables for Dogs?
In rare cases, vomiting or diarrhea have occured within 24 hours of taking this medication (1.1% of cases). Other reactions are also possible, including: Hypersalivation Convulsions Depression Lethargy Vomiting Staggering Anorexia Mydriasis Ataxia Diarrhea
What special precautions are there?
Prior to treatment, the animal should receive a heartworm test. If your pet is taking heartworm medication, do not administer this medication. Keep out of the reach of children.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.
How can I store Heartgard Plus Chewables for Dogs?
Store the product at room temperature, preferably 68 -77°F (20-25°C). This product may be stored briefly at temperatures of 59° and 86° F (15° and 30°C). Keep product away from light.
Helpful Tips:
Use this product on the infected dog and all the pets in the house for optimal effects. Be sure to treat your yard and carpets for fleas in addition to your pets. Clean up stools in the yard and don't let the animal consume raw fish, uncooked meat, or rodents to help avoid flea infection.
