A - Apply HemaBlock as deeply as possible to the wound, applying pressure as the applicator departs. P - Apply pressure to the wound while applying HemaBlock for 1–2 minutes. Continue to apply pressure until the blood begins to coagulate. Reapply powder if bleeding persists. I - Using a saline solution, irrigate the wound. Remove any debris from the region and, once hemostasis has occurred, the additional powder that was not included in the clot. Irrigate as much as necessary. D - After bleeding and irritation cease, delivered hemostasis will be observed. Close the wound with sterile procedures once hemostasis has been achieved. When using a Prefilled Syringe applicator, remove the chevron seal and place the applicator on the OR tray. When utilizing a foil package with a re-sealable tube, remove the cap first.
