Side effects of K-BROVET include:Drowsiness (will subside after 3 weeks)Uncoordinated movements Increased urination Increased thirst Increased hunger Vomiting Anorexia Constipation Nausea with increased dosage Personality changes: aimless pacing, aggression/irritability, attention seeking Pancreatitis is not linked to this medication alone, but has been shown in dogs also taking concurrent doses of bromide and phenobarbital.
What special precautions are there?
Older dogs are more likely to experience adverse effects from this medication. Use caution when administering this medication to older dogs. Do not administer this medication to cats.

How can I store K-BroVet Potassium Bromide Oral Solution for Dogs?
Store at room temperature in a cooly and dry place.
Overview
Use as directed by your Veterinarian. For a loading dose to achieve a serum level of approximately 1 mg/mL, give 120 mg/kg PO daily for 5 days and then reduce to 30 mg/kg PO once daily. To achieve a serum level of approximately 1.5 mg/mL, give 160 mg/kg PO for 5 days and then reduce to 40 mg/kg PO once daily thereafter.
