Levetiracetam is a potent medicine that is developed to have a long-acting effect. When phenobarbital or bromides aren't totally effective, it's an excellent supplement to a standard seizure drug regimen. Furthermore, because this medicine does not increase seizure activity, it may result in a lower phenobarbital dose requirement. It may be an effective treatment for seizures caused by hepatic encephalopathy and liver damage caused by phenobarbital in some situations.

What are the side effects of Levetiracetam XR Tablet?
Although this medication is typically well-tolerated, adverse reactions may still occur. Such reactions may include aggression, somnolence, hyperactivity, gastrointestinal upset, or drowsiness.
What special precautions are there?
The use of this medicine may result in the loss of a fetus or an embryo. If the animal is pregnant, assess the risks and advantages of using this drug before using it. Use with caution if the animal's kidney function is impaired. Make sure you get regular dose adjustments and examinations. Slow and gradual withdrawal strategies should be used. Never abruptly stop taking this drug. Keep out of reach of children.
