What special precautions are there?
Not proven safe for use in heartworm-positive cats or in lactating, pregnant, or breeding cats. Never use on kittens under 1.5 pounds or less than 6 weeks old. Hypersensitivity responses, such as lethargy, salivation, vomiting, and difficulty breathing, have been observed in dogs with high levels of microfilariae. This response is most likely caused by microfilariae protein that are dying or dead. Before using this medication, infected dogs should receive heartworm treatment. Before using this product, make sure pet has received a heartworm test. Never use on kittens under 2 pounds or less than 4 weeks old. Keep away from children and animals.

Keep between 68° to 77° Fahrenheit (20° to 25° Celsius), which is considered room temp.
Give this medicine within 30 days following the last dosage of DEC (diethylcarbamazine) for heartworm therapy. If the animal is still young, apply this product within one month after the initial encounter and then every month after that. Administer on the same day monthly for optimal results. Give another complete dose as soon as feasible if the whole dose was not swallowed. The animal should be watched after the medication has been given to ensure that the complete amount has been eaten.
