NAXCEL Sterile Powder includes the ceftiofur sodium salt, a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the cephalosporin class. It is effective against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, including those that produce ß-lactamase. Ceftiofur, like other cephalosporin antibiotics, demonstrates bactericidal properties in vitro, blocking cell wall formation. It does not contain any sterile water.

Reconstituted product should be stored at 36° to 46° Fahrenheit (2° to 8° Celsius) for up to 7 days or at 68° to 77° Fahrenheit (20° to 25° Celsius) for up to 12 hours at regulated room temperature. The hue of the cake can range from off-white to tan. The potency of the product is unaffected by its color. Keep this product away from light sources. Heat and moisture should be avoided. Unreconstituted product should be stored at 68° to 77° Fahrenheit (20° to 25° Celsius).
NAXCEL is different from other antibiotic medications in that it guarantees no milk waste. Alternative treatments might result in unfavorable side effects and lost milk.

DAY-OLD TURKEY POULTS: Inject 0.17mg to 0.5mg of reconstituted powder subcutaneously into the poult's neck area. 100-294 poults can be treated with 1mL of 50mg/mL solution.
