What special precautions are there?
Treatment alternatives should be re-evaluated if you discover any indicators of vestibular dysfunction or hearing loss. The safety of using this product in a dog with a perforated tympanic membrane (eardrum) has not been established. Before using, make sure the tympanic membrane(s) are in good shape. Do not give by mouth. Avoid contact with the eyes. If the product comes into contact with your skin, wash it well with water. Seek medical help if you accidentally swallow a human. Keep away from children. Not for human use. If your dog has a known sensitivity to corticosteroids, terbinafine, or florfenicol, don`t use it.
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.
How can I store Osurnia Otic Gel for Dogs, 1 ml Tubes?
Store refrigerated at 2-8°C (36-46°F). Don`t allow the product to be frozen, or exposed to extreme heat. Osurnia may be stored up to 3 months while at room temperature.
1) Before providing the first dose, clean and dry the external ear canal. If alternative therapies are required, it is recommended that the ear be cleaned before to application. 2) To open the tube, twist the soft tip. 3) Insert the flexible tip into the affected ear`s external canal. 4) Instill 1 tube (one dosage) into each afflicted ear, then repeat the process 7 days later. 5) Gently massage the ear base to allow the bottom region of the ear canal to be penetrated. 6) Clean the ear canal 45 days after the initial dosage to allow the gel to make adequate contact with the ear canal (s). Cleaning has the potential to reduce effectiveness. This product is intended for use in a vet clinic.
