What are the side effects of Prednisolone Acetate 1% Ophthalmic Suspension - 5 ml?
Corticosteroid usage over an extended period of time can result in posterior subcapsular cataracts, field of vision and visual acuity abnormalities, optic nerve injury, and glaucoma. Long-term usage can reduce the host's immunological system, putting them at risk for subsequent eye infection.
What special precautions are there?
Before using this product, talk to your veterinarian about any other eye medications or drops your pet may be using. If your pet shows signs of difficulty breathing, itching, or facial swelling, contact your veterinarian right away. These signs and symptoms might indicate a serious allergic response. This drug has the potential to cause blurry vision. Do not let the dropper come into contact with any surface, particularly the hand or eye.
How can I store Prednisolone Acetate 1% Ophthalmic Suspension - 5 ml?
Keep in a vertical position. Do not put the product in the freezer. Store between 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (20 and 25 degrees Celsius) away from heat and moisture.
Overview
1) Before using, give the product a good shake. 2) Apply one or two drops to the conjunctival sac 2-4 times daily. 3) Increase usage frequency as needed throughout the first 24-to 48-hour administration interval. Even if your symptoms appear to be improving or disappearing, don't stop using the product too soon.
