What special precautions are there?
Do not treat your pet with this medication if they are currently on an antidepressant. Excessive Selegiline may be present in your pet's body if he or she exhibits increased panting or pupils that do not respond to light. If this happens, contact your veterinarian right once. Anipryl should not be given to dogs that are hypersensitive to it.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.
How can I store Selegiline 5 mg Tablet?
When stored in hot or moist environments, like the kitchen or the bathroom, this drug can break down. It should be stored away from sunlight and sources of heat in a cool and dry location.
Overview
The starting dose for Cushing's disease treatment is 0.45 milligrams per pound of body weight. This should be taken in the morning once a day. If no improvement is shown after two months of therapy, the dosage may be raised to 0.9 mg per pound of body weight. Consult a veterinarian for a re-evaluation if no improvement is shown after one month of therapy at the higher dosage. It might take a month or longer for you to notice a difference. For canine cognitive impairment, the first dosage is 0.2mg to 0.45mg per pound of body weight. Always adhere to your veterinarian's dosing recommendations and instructions.
