The dual-test cassette functions similarly to a pregnancy test. Apply 2 drops of diluted fecal sample in each well. A control line will appear, indicating that the test is processing. If a second line appears in either window within 15 minutes, a positive result can be recorded. A line of any intensity indicates a positive test result. When taken simultaneously, these results can offer reliable gastrointestinal tract injury diagnosis (including damage to hemoglobin-producing or albumin-producing mucosa, inflammation, ulcers, or lesions). Hemoglobin and albumin differences allow for injury source differentiation, along with a general idea of the condition's severity.
Each Test Kit includes: One test for one horse, including a plastic container (for collecting a sample), dual test cassette, sample pipette, polyethylene glove and instruction sheet.
