What are the side effects of TruProfen (Carprofen) Flavored Tablets?
Carprofen, like other types of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, is associated with certain adverse reactions. Familiarize yourself with these reactions and the symptoms of drug intolerance. Adverse reactions could include: Decreased appetite Vomiting Behavioral changes Diarrhea Dark or tarry stools Increased water consumption Increased urination Anemia (and related gum paleness) Jaundice (and related yellow gums, skin, or eye whites) Lethargy Incoordination Seizures
What special precautions are there?
Never administer concomitantly with another steroid or NSAID. Do not administer to animals who show carprofen sensitivity symptoms. Do not administer to a cat. Only administer to dogs. Keep away from animals and children.

How can I store TruProfen (Carprofen) Flavored Tablets?
Keep between 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (20 and 25 degrees Celsius). Excursions between 59 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit (15 and 30 degrees Celsius) are permissible. Protect the product from the sun.
When administering for postoperative inflammation and pain, give 2 mg 2 hours prior to the procedure. Typical dosing for oral administration in dogs is 2 mg for every pound of body weight administered once daily, or a divided dose of 1 mg per pound twice daily. This medication should be administered for the shortest possible duration. This drug should always be administered as directed by a veterinarian at the lowest dose feasible.
