What special precautions are there?
Do not clean your pet's ears before or after using this product. Use in the absence of any additional ear treatment or wash. During therapy, do not allow any water to enter the ear. Do not use if your pet's eardrums are injured or perforated. Do not use if your dog is pregnant or lactating. Keep away from children. Consult your veterinarian if the animal's condition worsens.
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.
How can I store Zymox Otic 1.0% Hydrocortisone?
Keep at room temperature between 68-77° F
Ear infections can be caused by wrinkled uncontrolled hair, suppressed or weakened immune system, or creased ear skin.
Consult a veterinarian if the animal's health worsens or does not improve. During therapy, never let water in or near the ear. Do not use this product in combination with any other topical ear medicines or ear cleaners during therapy. To eliminate remaining product and dead skin cell accumulation, a post-treatment flush is advised. In persistent situations, this product is safe to use for a long time. 1) Instill liberally into dirty ear(s), allowing the ear canal(s) to fill. 2) Gently massage to work the product into all affected areas. 3) Wipe away any excess product. 4) Treat the ear(s) once per day for one week, or for two weeks if the condition is chronic.
